Sacré-Coeur Basilica

So we went to Sacré-Coeur Basilica at the top of Montmarte, and of course, lots of stairs to get up there! The weirdest thing was that they didn't want you to take photos inside the basilica...but I took a couple of sneak photos anyways, lol. They aren't the best quality, but they're better than no photos at all!

View from the top

A face only a mother could love! hehe

Like in San Fransisco when we went, there was someone pretending to be a statue...when we walked by, all I could think was "Isn't he freezing?"

More horse statues! lol

Pretty awesome altar and ceiling! Like Notre Dame they had a bunch of smaller altars all around the church, going behind the main altar.

Here's the Carmelite convent, just across the small street from the Basilica.

Beautiful landscaping!

The coolest thing was that some guy was playing a harp right outside of the church...trying to have you buy his cd of course, but it was very pretty! Here's a clip for your enjoyment. :)
