I was actually really happy with where we stayed at, and I would definitely stay there again! It was located really close to the city center, and the front desk spoke English. They were also extremely helpful about telling us which metro stops to get off at when we asked.
The first thing that is a bit different about Paris hotels is the fact that there aren't key cards. There are actually keys (attached to big hunkers of key rings), and you don't take these outside of the hotel. You drop them off at the front desk each time you leave...which is nice, then you don't have to worry about anybody stealing your key!
Another thing that is a bit different is that you can request a full-size bed or two twin beds. This worked out perfectly for us!
The back of the elevator on each floor had some horse murals...a nice little touch!
Here's the hallway...you could always turn on more lights, but they were always turned down. Even though I saw a lot of other people staying here, I didn't hear them, thankfully! Perhaps because the walls on the room weren't painted, but had fabric on them.
This is the little lounge area when you walked in the hotel...cosy!
They also had a breakfast area. We didn't eat here because it was overpriced, but it looked nice! And our room overlooked the inner courtyard and this area. :)
Nice!
