We all met this morning in the court yard of the castle...and I must admit, I am pretty excited to be going to school in a castle. Unfortunately, the classrooms all look like classrooms, but the outside sure is pretty!

Part of the Castle...which is apparently the second largest castle behind Versailles! |

It just keeps going...and although they blend in, there are lights on some of the cobblestones that light up the Schloss at night! |

| | The university from across the street...close to the bus stations! And there are more modern sections of the University across the street from the castle | | | | |

They love their hockey! |
So I got to learn a little Mannheim history--the man who made the first car was from Mannheim, but he didn't drive it first--his wife did. :) After this I picked up my student id (sponsored by Ernst & Young, what could be better?), and then paid for some excursions for this month. I am going to see Jesuitenkirche this Thursday, go to Stuttgart (and the mercedes-benz car museum) on Saturday, and then see Adler Mannheim play Wolfsburg on Sunday! And all for 23 Euro.
